We seldomly see a high-end business laptop with such specs and features. It is always exciting to review a feature-packed business laptop that is available at an affordable price. Design

The V130 – 81HQ00L1UK that we reviewed has a stylish, textured lid. The body is entirely made of plastic to keep the price on the lower side. However, the material is of high-quality and sturdy that can handle everyday knocks and bumps. We were unable to open the lid with a single hand and it takes a little force.

The bezels are huge which is odd as modern laptops usually feature thin bezels. Its hinges are strong, and you’ll find them helpful when you will tilt the lid. The lid can be moved up to 180 degrees and the hinges hold the screen to provide you a desirable display angle.

Display

Lenovo V130 features a 14-inch widescreen with an FHD display that comes with a high 1920 x 1080 resolution. The screen offers bright visuals with vivid colours, thanks to Intel’s HD 620 integrated graphics. We streamed Avengers: Endgame and loved the little details that we were able to get.

In addition, the webcam comes with a physical shutter that ensures privacy. You will know that the camera is turned off when the shutter is close. The 180-degree lid allows you to share the display with colleagues when you are on a video call in your office.

Keyboard

Lenovo V130 14″ has a full-size keyboard that we found user-friendly. This ergonomic keyboard makes typing fun and lets you write without fatiguing your fingertips. It is accurate, comfy and improves your productivity, thanks to its appropriate key spacing. The key travel is just perfect, while you’ll find its spill-resistant feature to be helpful. You can keep on writing without worrying about little mishaps while sitting next to a glass of water.

As far as the touchpad is concerned, you’ll find it impressively responsive. Lenovo has designed it to appear sleek following a clean, simple design. This is a one-piece touchpad that is equally responsive around the corners.

Connectivity

We were not expecting the V130 to feature many ports and we were right. Being a budget laptop, it has enough ports on it that you would need in an office. On the right, it houses a USB 3.0 along with an HDMI port, charging point and an Ethernet (RJ-45). On the left side, there is an audio jack, a full-sized card reader and another USB 3.0 port.

Performance

Lenovo V130 – 81HQ00L1UK is armed with a 7th generation Core i5 CPU that offers a base clock speed of 2.5GHz. It runs on the Windows 10 Pro operating system and can deliver a maximum turbo clock speed of 3.1GHz. Additionally, it has got a 256GB SSD storage and an 8GB memory.

All in all, this is a perfect business laptop for IT professionals and managers. Lenovo V130 has got the right specs that could improve your productivity and comes with extra security features. You can multitask, browse more than a dozen tabs and work on online files. Its Trusted Platform Module could encrypt your confidential business data by collaborating with the Windows 10 Pro’s Bitlocker.

Battery Life

The V130 features a 30Wh battery that could keep it alive for around 6 hours. This is an average battery on a business laptop, but the fast charging feature makes up for it.

Verdict

Being a budget laptop, the Lenovo V130 – 81HQ00L1UK exceeds the expectations and performs well. It delivered in terms of design, specs and performance and we found it a decent laptop. The only problem is its average battery life, but it won’t be a problem unless you frequently travel for long hours.
